Concrete StencilingThe process of pressing a plastic, or typically a paper stencil, into freshly poured concrete. The stencils are worked into the concrete along with a color hardener that is broadcast across the surface. Imprints are about an 1/8", and when the stencils are pulled up there is a greater variation between the color of the "joints" – making the stencil appear more as a masonry product. Stenciling products are not usually re-useable, therefore they are bought per request. However, there is a great selection of patterns and borders from which to choose. Stenciling can also be done over existing concrete when using an overlay system! |
